Understanding Municipal Securities Regulations

This one-day seminar focuses on the requirements for and the process of disclosing municipal securities information to the market. The program provides information on federal securities laws and rules and an in-depth discussion of topical disclosure issues including recent Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Rulings, status of the Central Post Office (CPO) system, proposed Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) rule changes, and updates on "other post employment benefits" (OPEB) disclosure. In addition, a hands-on case study is included to emphasize the concepts and practices discussed throughout the seminar. Participants will gain a better understanding of the disclosure process and considerations that confront local government officials and other municipal securities professionals.
