CDIAC’s Pre-Conference at the CMTA Annual Conference: Basics of Debt Issuance

Municipal debt has been a tool for public agencies to build infrastructure and capital improvement for over a century. Participants in this program will gain a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of those involved in each stage of the issuance process. The goal of this program is for attendees to gain a basic understanding of fundamental concepts and who is involved in the process, while equipping them with resources where they can further explore the topics in detail.

- Health and Safety
The California Municipal Treasurer’s Association (CMTA) is working hard to address concerns about the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and provide a safe environment for members at their Annual Conference in San Mateo. CMTA is working directly with the San Mateo Marriott to ensure proper sanitation measures are in place and adequate hand sanitizers are available. The health and safety of our members is our highest priority. We will continue to monitor the situation and recommendations from health organizations.
At this time, the conference is scheduled to proceed as planned. CMTA is monitoring health updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and California Department of Public Health, as well as reviewing recommendations from professional associations such as Meeting Professional International and the American Society of Association Executives.
