Continuing Education Credit

Participants may be eligible to earn the following continuing education credit by attending CDIAC programs.

  • Certificate of Attendance: For seminars, CDIAC will issue a Certificate of Attendance to those who sign in at the registration desk. Certificates will not be issued to attendees with an outstanding balance until the balance is paid in full. For webinars, CDIAC will issue a Certificate of Attendance to those who participate in at least 70% of the webinar. Certificates will be issued within 2 weeks after the program. Participants can submit their certificates to their governing entity to request credits. CDIAC’s education programs are accepted by many governing entities as certifiable.
  • Certified California Municipal Treasurer (CCMT) Designation: Attendees can submit their Certificate of Attendance to the California Municipal Treasurers Association (CMTA) to earn credits towards the CDIAC training requirement of the CCMT designation from CMTA.
  • Continuing Professional Education (CPE): The California Board of Accountancy does not pre-approve or register providers of continuing education courses. CDIAC adheres to the regulations and requirements prescribed in the California Accountancy Act. Certificates of Attendance may be submitted to your governing entity to request credits.
  • County Treasurers/Tax Collectors: Under California Government Code Section 27000.8, CDIAC’s educational programs are a source for California county treasurers, tax collectors, or treasurer/tax collectors to obtain continuing education credits.
  • Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Credits: CDIAC is an approved provider of Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) credit by the California State Bar. Attorneys must provide their State Bar number to receive an MCLE certificate. Program webpages will indicate whether a program is approved for MCLE credits.
  • SB 827 (2025–2026): California Government Code Section 53238 as established by SB 827 requires local agency officials to take two hours of fiscal and financial training every two years. CDIAC's educational programs are a source for satisfying these requirements.
